Audio Mastering
Mastering work typically includes audio level, dynamics, stereo field, and equalization adjustments; noise & click removal; fades/crossfades; audio restoration; track sequencing & spacing; and metadata encoding.
For projects that are 3 or more songs, your engineer will master two songs of your choosing and send them to you along with an invoice for half the cost of mastering. We can go back and forth revising these initial references until you are satisfied with them. (If we can’t get those two songs to your liking, you are free to walk away from us without owing anything.) Once the invoice is settled, your engineer will master the rest of the material using those two songs as a starting point and send the second invoice. We then repeat the process making revisions until you are feeling good about the entire album. At this point we will send the production masters to another engineer in house for routine quality control and upload to you.
Mastering work is billed based on the total length of the source material in 5 minute blocks (rounded up). Pricing includes revisions and a set of Digital Master Files suitable for Streaming and Downloading. Both 16-bit / 44.1kHz WAV files and High Resolution Audio (HRA) WAV files (that also qualify for the Apple Digital Masters program) are provided. Up to 5 passes of revisions on the full collection of songs are included. If we exceed that, we reserve the right to bill additionally for further revisions, but it is exceedingly rare that this happens.

Vinyl Mastering
As of June 2025, we are no longer cutting lacquers for vinyl production. We are still able to provide Vinyl Cutting Masters for disc cutting at another facility.
Payment
Full payment is required before we will release or upload a full set of Reference Tracks, Final Masters, or any source materials.
We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, ACH transfer, Wise, and Wire Transfer. When using PayPal (this does NOT apply to regular credit card transactions), there is an additional 4.25% added to the total to cover PayPal’s fees. An additional charge of $15 applies to Wire Transfers to cover bank fees incurred.
